This business gives me an opportunity to help seniors, families and busy professionals get to the next chapter of their lives with as little stress and disruption as possible. Caring Transitions is the professional choice for moving, downsizing and estate sales. Our specially-trained professionals can handle every detail of your transition including decluttering, cleanouts, packing, move management, unpacking, resettling into your new home, and both in-home and online estate sales. While our services are tailored for seniors, we can also help with corporate relocations, family moves and cleanouts. I worked in executive administration and office management throughout my career. I retired from my corporate job back in 2017 and was happy gardening and raising chickens in Colorado, but my husband of more than 30 years and I also wanted to move closer to our family in Illinois. When we moved to Sugar Grove, I found myself looking for something more. As I was thinking about what I wanted to do next, I found a post about Caring Transitions on NextDoor. There were Caring Transitions offices to the north and east, but not one here, which is why I decided opening Caring Transitions of Saint Charles was a great opportunity for me and for this community. My research inspired me to come out of retirement to open my own franchise to serve the community. In addition to positively impacting families, I’m looking forward to using Caring Transitions to improve the environment. When you clear out a home, it would be easier for everything without significant monetary value to go to landfill, but that’s not how we operate. We will go out of our way to make sure anything that is left behind gets to the right place, whether that is with a new family, at a donation center or upcycled.
